VM Stock Hatch Series 6 - MSM Teams

So far it looks like me, Clark, Skismo, and Consult may run in this series.  If anyone else is interested, please post in this thread.  

1. I've been keeping an eye on the thread on VM and it seems like the Hyundai is going to get a good run on the power tracks, which is most of them to be honest.  My gut tells me that's the car to use, but if anyone else has done some more extensive testing I'd like to hear it.

2. Team sponsors?  I can cobble together another Repsol car, or if someone else wants to take a stab at a livery that would be cool too.  The sponsors can be the team names if we get more than one going (ie MSM Repsol, MSM Motul, MSM Goodyear).

I think I could make this series as the US Time is at 7 my time so I will be home from track practice and school stuff so I will dust off the Forza 5 disc and get on this.

As for the team sponsors, if we have more than one team then I suggest for simplicity, running the same or similar livery but with color palette changes. And if you'd like, when we get a main sponsor down I can morph something together.

So MSM Motul is our/a team we are running? Sounds good. Dom do you wanna keep that design?

Also since you noted the Veloster as having the good run on power tracks, im curious how the Cee'd doesnt as it has more power (20ish more) with the same weight?

im in. I dont mind car choice or paint, anything works for me. I'll sign up. the tune is what is going to make it.

I just posted that because it was the first design I made. If someone else is willing to post another design we can discuss it as well.

If you test out the Kia and it's quicker let me know. I've not properly tested these cars tbh.

So far, the Kia is faster on Laguna than the Veloster. Ran a rather good lap in the Veloster and still was slower by .6 than the Kia which i felt I ran not as good.

How fast did you run? I just tried the KIA and did 1:39.659. It's really easy to induce lift-throttle oversteer, which I think is a good thing in a FWD car, as I could get it to come around the turn entry really quickly without feeling out of control. I'd be happy to run this as well if it's the quickest.

i must be doing something wrong as i ran 1:41.011. Hmm..maybe im not used to the feel of FM5 after being on 4 for so long. But yes i did notice the oversteer bit, also the Veloster to me seemed to have a bit of understeer, whereas i never noticed any in the Kia.

Repainted the Kia with two team options for two groups.  Waiting to see what Taco comes up with soon.

As some of you know, my Xbox is currently residing in Germany with Microsoft. Hopefully I'll have it back in time for the start of the series. I'll run with B4D B0Y69 in the UK races on this series.

I guess we're both doubtful for race 1 but it'll be good to have a team mate and we've got MSM technical support  

I've got 1:39.493 on the LB at the moment.  The tune I'm using is listed here.  The car tends to get some good lift-oversteer, which is to say as you enter the turn and come off the throttle, it will start to point into the apex.  Normally, this isn't easy to get out of a front engine FWD car.  It will still push a bit on the corner exit, as all FWD cars tend to get torque steer.

I apologize for the delay. The base paint for mine and Skismos car was done last night, yet i was doing number and decal tweaks tonight so it should be ready to go. However i DL'ed the Virtual Motorsports URL thing from the storefront so its locked, which means I cannot share it with Skismo right? Also Skismo I will put your number (#925) up and you can DL it. It is the same dimensions as my side number on the side so it should fit within where my number was/is. Or, can I not gift liveries in this game to where Skismo can adjust it?

You can't have any "shared" decals on your design. I just made the Vm URL myself so I could share the complete design. I used basic Forza characters because I don't care.

Clark, your design is labelled motulblack333. Consult, your design is labelled Motulwhite 393. Badboy, I'm not sure what your number is, so once you let me know I'll get yours shared too.

Am I still Motul White? Just asking, as Taco's paint looks great in red.

Thanks Dom, I'll get it when I can. Checked on the status of my xbox, should get it back on Wednesday, means I'll miss the first race, but it's quicker than it could have been.

You're welcome to use Taco's livery, but you should check with your teammate (consult) and he'll need to make it a different color. You would also have to register by a different team name. I'd be happy to run with any of them, they all look good. I've posted as "MSM Motul White (TBC)" for now.

Edit: I'll stick with white so I can verify it on VM before the list gets updated.
