V8 Supercar Road America Open Practice.
I plan on hosting open practice sessions for Road America this week.
The lobby will be set for limited damage, full tier options, but i will have everyone Ghost.
Finding time on this course has a lot to do with corner speed, entry and exit. By following some of the faster folk through the corners, you should be able to match it.
The idea is for a faster driver to run a 3 lap run at Road America. The Learners will spectate with telemetry pull up to gauge corner speed, then everyone will join and try to mirror.
It's just like a Rivals mode: but with more teaching because we can give you pointers on the corners.
I've done it this way since FM2.
Let me know who is interested.
I plan on running anyway, but this seemed like a way to get everyone on board for a closer race come Friday / Saturday.

Alright, thanks Snip. Clarke I can't make it at that time. But if you were to have it around the same time as the 2hr Daytona race, then I'll be there.

Good turn out last night.
Everyone had a good time.
This is definetely going to happen throught the rest of the week. Lobby will be open and all are welcome to show up and run laps.
The Tune i am running is exactly the same as last week. 1/2 Areo setting, Front and rear.
I do have a gearing setup but I am going to improve on it as I think it is still a tad slow. 170-172mph on the straights seems to be the magic number and I am about 167mph at the moment.
Feel free to ask any questions regarding the track/corners/gears through corners/ gas let off's, etc....

Practice delayed for me. Watching Hockey with some buddies. I'll probably be on later tonight.
I know Bobbo was planning on running a lobby.

Re: V8 Supercar Road America Open Practice.
My typical lap at Road America-
turn 1 exit speed about 92mph- 4th gear
turn 2 exit speed around 75-78mph--3rd gear (toughest corner for me to hit consistantly)
turn 3--- low 3rd gear rpm or high 2nd gear rpm.--watch wheel spin. Uber passing spot.
turn 4, 3rd gear-- make sure you slow down before you reach the crown of the hill.
turn 5- 4th gear, let off through corner, not much braking needed
turn 6(right before teh long sweeper) 3rd gear or second gear- exit speed aobut 60-62mph--- another passing location if you screw up the last 2-3 turns
long sweep accel through till the braking line turns red up ahead( i use the braking line) let off the throttle (4th gear or 5th gear for me) then gradually accell through the corner--- if I do it right i see 118-120mph as my car goes straight
the kink - let off cut down into corner then accel out.-- if memory serves me correctly---the best i can hold is about 137mph through it.--- do not try for a pass here...draft till turn 9.
turn 9(after the back straight) 3rd gear, you can late brake this pretty easily, good passing spot on the inside.
turn 10- 4th gear, let off-- it has a wide exit.
turn 11 ( last corner) this is a funky corner and your lap can suffer if you get it wrong. Ill take it in 3rd--- ill see 75-76 mph at corner exit.
I constantly check my MPH at exits to mirror times and to try for consistant laps. Sometimes i'll be faster, sometimes slower-- thats the name of the game.
