I thought it might be time to try and organize an official meet-up for Horizon, using the many predetermined highway routes for some racing action. You might notice "hardcore" in the title. That's because I will have the following lobby rules:

Force Off Suggested Line
Force Off TCS
No ABS
Simulation (wink wink) steering
Forced Camera View: Cockpit

Courses
Highway 27 - Dawn
Highway 28 - Midday
Highway 29 - Evening
Highway 33 - Midnight
Sun November 18 - 08:00 PM GMT (8:00 PM UK / 3:00 PM US EST)

Car Restrictions and upgrades

We will run four highway events above, using A and S class at each, for a total of 8 races. Drivers may choose any cars in these two classes. You can use any upgrades you wish.

Scoring

Points will be awarded for the top three drivers only:

1st: 5
2nd: 3
3rd: 1

Other Details

There are no livery requirements or number board needed. You may have your number on the car if you wish.

The grid order will be random.

There are no restarts for crashes.

I'm not expecting a huge turnout for this first Horizon effort, and I haven't had much practice on these courses or with online multiplayer. Since the event is this weekend, I would be interested in running some practice races this Friday at 9:00 PM EST. I'll have the lobby open regardless.

If you see me on then give us a shout, but I can't make the actual event.

I'll try and make it.

Ah yes, that might explain why theres no results posted hehe

We had a few people show for the Friday practice, although most of that was just spent just picking random P2P races. Also, it turns out with no braking line on an open road environment it's really easy to completely miss your turn and have to turn around again.

Anyway, I don't expect more than a few for today. We might spend more time doing random races again, so we'll see.
