Snips Auto Salvage
This is my take on the Brumos racing teams Porsche 911 Carrera RS, it was driven to a 1st place at Daytona in 1973 and 75 by Peter Gregg (USA) and Hurley Heywood (USA)
- Spoiler:
This raced in the Portuguese Ford Transit Trophy finsihing with 7th overall place in the 2011 season. Driven by brothers Nuno and John Fontainhas (PT)
- Spoiler:
Driven during the 1999 Monte Carlo rally, and also to victory in the AWD legends series unfortunately i can't find its overall position and who it was piloted by.
- Spoiler:
I painted this one for the upcoming European Classic series, its based on a replica: The Hermetite Products Ltd. BMW 3.5 CSL - BMW M49/3 as raced at Le Mans 1976 by John Fitzpatrick (GBR)- Tom Walkinshaw (GBR). Fitzpatrick did not race as the car caught fire in the 3rd hour and retired.

Yeah i was happy with that one tbh, it's all my own work including the logos. unfortunately i never sold a single copy which lead me to believe that perhaps it wasn't as good as i thought.

Re: Snips Auto Salvage
This was painted for our inter team race series with PNUK. I suppose you can say this is an original replica. The replica was on a Ford Focus driven in the 2012 BTCC by Tom Chilton (UK) which i then transferred on to the Clio. It's a simple design which i think goes well on the Clio due to similarities with the bulging body kit.
- Spoiler:
A replica based on the 1963 Chevrolet Holly Farms Impala #3 driven by the the legendary "Junior Johnson". This is the only Impala Super Sport ever to have raced in NASCAR, Johnson captured an impressive seven Grand National Events and nine poles in it.

Re: Snips Auto Salvage
This is my chosen car for the upcoming 2013 championship, it's an original design based on what i thought racecars of the 50's may have looked like. I went for the aged/raced look which i think i pulled off and used secondary sponsors which are correct of the 50's.

Chev!!!..so much for my theory of it being an all Ford championship. That numberless, unpainted, replaced door with the rust looks cool, btw.

That Chevy is super slick. From those pics it seems you got the rust and primer door bang on. Quake in fear, other painters in MSM.

Re: Snips Auto Salvage
how do you guys do this stuff, I'd like to learn!!!! that Chev is the BOMB! You did this with the Forza 4 design portion? can you upload any images, or is it like "kitbashing"?

Re: Snips Auto Salvage
Yep, it was painted with the Forza design portion. The design is quite simple and was off the top of my head. I found a rust tutorial on a french Forza 4 website and used that to make my door. Images of cars can be taken and uploaded from your homespace, in the pause menu when free riding or racing the games AI and from race replays when racing in multiplayer.
