TURN 2015 Virtual Endurance Championship

So, yeah TURN just launched their Virtual Endurance Championship(VEC, because apparently WEC was trademarked) that will go over a span of 6 rounds spanning a few months with their biggest event, the 24 hours of Le Mans being the anchor of the series.

Currently there is no MSM team entered, however I would like to see if we can get enough members to sign up for a GT Team, if we get enough we can even run a GT AND LMP Team, if you are interested, please post below, you must head on over to TURN and register there to be declared eligible for the series.

I would be interested. I have to see how I am in prototypes with the patch, and I'll have to see how it will affect GTs as well.

well Scott if you like we can branch off, you can do the MSM GT division and I can spearhead the MSM LMP Division for this series, but lets see how it correlates with other drivers

I'm going to have a butchers with LMP this week and see if that works.

Depending when it is  I may be able to be a reserve/ back up driver in the LMP 1. In say back up because of my work schedule plus I'm signed up to a endurance series all ready.

even so Rich if you want, I am gonna try and get 3 drivers full time, would you wanna be a 4th driver for Le Mans in either class?

I'd prefer LMP but yeah as long as it doesn't clash with any thing I'm good

On TURN Trash confirmed there will be a total of 10 teams per class, so a possible 30 overall.  Two GT classes then? Duh, two LMP classes.

"VEC will run once a month on Saturdays, time slot is TBA but we are looking at something in early morning to mid afternoon for a start time and will end around dinner time for the US time slot, originally the plan was for a Sunday series, but since we can do the actual 6-24 hour events, we pushed it back to Saturday to compensate for the EU guys having to wake up the next morning and go to work"

So, VEC will be on Saturdays

I'm most likely going to enter into this as the timing will work for me. happy to run under the MSM banner and preferably in an open cockpit LMP2. (oreca or alpine)

Okay, so as of right now we got 7 drivers for LMP and 6 for GT. I will be organizing teams tonight or tomorrow.

When the teams are announced I will post them in the OP. From there it will be at everyone's responsibility to sign up on TURN and then select 1 driver to sign the the team up.

I ran some laps in the Marek LMP2 car last night and didn't feel very much in control. I don't think I'll be much better in the GT car, so you can scratch me from the list. That will give you two teams of three for LMP at least.

I think I'm gonna stick with one series as well it's just far too in depth to run too many other full time series

I haven't driven the Ruf yet, but the Aston seems to be the easiest to handle with the stock tune and shouldn't need a ton of tweaking. 

But if someone else has a GT3 tune for a different car I'd try it out.

It is now everyone else's responsibility to register over at TURN(if you haven't already), and then choose ONE person to sign the team up, please make sure you guys are in agreement to drive a car and make sure you guys plan all the stints out accordingly, we may add a 4th driver to each team for Le Mans only if allowed. I would sign all the teams up, but then that would list me as an "owner" for the team, which means I'd have to drive for that team or not drive at all. So whoever signs the team up will be listed as the "owner/driver 1" for the team.

Only people who are signed up at TURN are eligible for this series, so PLEASE make sure you are signed up AND account is activated
