Interest in SPEC MIATA
SPEC MIATA
This was brought up during a gathering this past weekend, Feb 11. This is a spec series I race in with my NASA group and other real SPEC Miata drivers in SCCA. These are the settings we run with and everyone uses. This only allows adjustments in the dampening, alignment and tire pressures.
Sundays March 4th, 11th, 18th, and 25th. 9pm GMT/4pm EST
Question has come up about sponsors and my thought was that there had to be a reason that the majority picked their own sponsors. So individual creativity using their own sponsor plus the use of the TOYO and MAZDASPEED logos is the only requirement. If you don't use your declared sponsor you can be DQ'D!!!
UPDATE 3/18/2012: Payout will be awarded to everyone that has participated in 2 or more race for this series. Payout purse will be stated at a later date.
UPDATE 2/25/2012: There is an ongoing discussion on assists as to having them forced off. I am looking into possibly having them on for the mean time and maybe forcing them off as we progress. Payout will also be awarded to the top 5 finishers (this could change to include more), Most Improved and Best Conduct. Conduct will be based off of on track behavior as well as communications.
I'm also looking for a couple of ppl to help out on holding lobbies (the person holding the lobby will be responsible for saving the replay), and stewards. Please submit your name for consideration via a PM to me only. Thank you!

Re: SPEC MIATA
This would ideally be best suited for a friday for me maybe just before the friday lobbys series races ?

Re: SPEC MIATA
Again same as the guys above, time permitting and a reasonable time of day. interested though
EDIT: i'm going to build one of the cars today and see what it drives like, i was sick to death of the things after last months rivals challenge. hopefully this one is a different experience

Re: SPEC MIATA
I've gotten alot of feedback so far pushing for the race to be on SUNDAY, SUNDAY, SUNDAY!!!
Ok, so far it looks like Sunday will be the best day. I've set the voting to run for 2 weeks and I'm looking to run these on March 4th, 11th, 18th, and 25th. The time that seems to be open is 9pm GMT/4pm EST

Don't knock the ice skating, but you'll be okay if it is finished by the designated start time.

My wife is the same LOL. I think it finishes at 8, but the skate-off is at 2130.

Re: SPEC MIATA
May I add that Top Gear is on sundays from 8-9 gmt. I can program the recorder if needed. Maybe we could favor the ladies and have it starting round 8 gmt?

Re: SPEC MIATA
i already mentioned it with duke othelion, he said he didn't mind hanging on for 5 mins or so

Re: SPEC MIATA
Nice, at least there are more people watching 3 mid life crisis men doing scripted idiocy instead of that ice skating

Re: SPEC MIATA
I want in but I will only be able to do the last two Sundays. I work night shift 4days on 4days off. Kinda messes up my weekends everynow and then.

Right i've just finished the logo's which Duke said need to be run on the cars. i know some guys havn't got time to make them or get them unlocked, so if you need them give me a heads up on here and i'll try and get them sent out over the next week.
Cheers Snippy
