4 Hours of Nurburgring Grand Prix

I've run this race before in FM3, and decided I wanted to do it again in FM4 now. As the title suggests, it's a 4 hour timed race on the Nurb GP track. I don't really care who does or does not show, as I will be doing the race even if I'm on my own. Details are listed below.

Nurburgring Grand Prix - 50 Laps
S700 cars (no upgrade restrictions)
April 22 - 2:00PM EDT / 6:00PM GMT / 7:00 BST

There is no pit window. Just make your pit stops when you need them.

I will add AI drivers to the grid, probably in the low R3 class range, so don't be shocked if they're a little racey. Grid will be set by PI, lowest to highest.

Damage will be set to SIMULATION damage. There will be TWO restarts for crashes in the first TWO laps.

Intresting, but I hate the track. And I don't think I will be home for it. :/

Top 5 reasons Nurburgring GP is my second favorite track in the game:

1. It's bumpy. Tracks are supposed to be bumpy and in my opinion this is the only one that seems to get that right.
2. This track has some of the most complex sounds. You can hear crowd noise going by the main grandstand. You can also hear the helicopter overhead if you really listen for it.
3. In higher class cars, there's hardly any moment to take a breath and relax. you get a short break going down the main straight, and that's pretty much it.
4. There is a nice mix of low speed and high speed turns, along with a pretty tricky chicane near the end
5. There are deceptive elevation changes, which only become obvious as you head through the second part of the track and can see the first section looming above you.

i think i might step up and attempt this this time. question, will there be an ai used if turn out is kinda low?

Feel free to bring any car you're comfortable with. This is as much a competition to test against yourself as much as it is a race versus other drivers.

I will be adding AI regardless of turnout. Ideally, I'll have 12 cars on the grid. It is very unlikely we'll get 12 human drivers. The AI drivers will be in low R3 class cars, because they suck anyway. When I ran this last time they were in S class and were quite a hazard when coming around to lap them.

I had invited some AART and ISRA members to be sure we have enough racers in this events! Of course, I'll be there and Killa told me he'll be there too...

looks like im unable to this as a i have a TORA race on the same evening which is round RD Atlanta in s700 cars(its a bit like the Blancplain series but with rd cars).also would it possible to do a 50laps of Le Mans if theres a spare date on the calendar.i will do a vote to see if theres a enough interest.

Good job I checked on here, forgot this is today :S I'm torn between bringing my Lexus LFA and my Aston Martin DBR9. I could have some battles with the LFA but my I haven't had a real big run in my DBR9 for donkeys.

Heading home from the shore. Ive got a hankering for some racing goodness and the only cure is more cowbell.

Thinking of either busting out my Lotus or my new, awesome AH Diablo SV

I don't think I can make it. I have a lot of homework but obviously I have to spend the entire morning at church as opposed to doing something productive.
