Two Hours of Daytona
Two Hours of Daytona
The Sunset Peninsula Reverse circuit is about as close to the Daytona endurance circuit layout as we're going to get:
[Only admins are allowed to see this image]
With a two hour time limit, and about 90 seconds per lap, we should be able to crank out about 80 laps. Like the previous two enduros we've run, we will stick to S class using whatever car you wish.
Sunset Peninsula Reverse - Two Hours
S700 cars (no upgrade restrictions)
May 20 - 3:00PM EDT / 7:00PM GMT / 8:00 BST
There is no pit window. Just make your pit stops when you need them. Apparently when on sim damage the aero damage will cause you to use more fuel.
If we're short of 10 drivers I will add AI drivers to the grid, probably in the low R3 class range, so don't be shocked if they're a little racey. Grid will be set by PI, lowest to highest. We'll try to start all at once, but failing that there will be a 1 second roll-off between cars.
There are no livery requirements to participate in this race.
Damage will be set to SIMULATION damage. There will be TWO restarts for crashes in the first lap.

Re: Two Hours of Daytona
Nice, i'm in. I feel a different car choice coming on though, the old RS200 won't go very well round Sunset/Daytona

Re: Two Hours of Daytona
I'm in - I'm thinking different car as well - the top speed on the peugeot super 2000 just wasn't there ... folks were driving past me on what little straight there was on the camino viejo 130...
I like the non-r class race cars - so don't be angry if I use the Lotus 2-eleven or the lotus endurance 124 .. there are a couple other hyundai's I'm looking at as well...

Re: Two Hours of Daytona
This is one of the few tracks where the Lotus is unable to dominate the leaderboards, for one very obvious long, banked, and fast reason.

Re: Two Hours of Daytona
i'll probably S-class the afore mentioned cars as well as the SEAT Leon Supercup and see which one I like best at this track I'll even try the Peugoet as a control element - ie: if none of them are faster than it then none will be good enough

Re: Two Hours of Daytona
i will confirm now, i will not be performing a 720 and pitting on lap 1 regardless of how cool and days of thunderesque it may look.

Re: Two Hours of Daytona
Looks like, after testing last night, that the Lotus Evora type 124 endurance car shall be my choice for the two hours of daytona.
Hopefully no one has a problem with that ...
I assume not since it is no where in the top 50 LB for that track.
