Re: 4 Hours of Nurburgring Grand Prix
That was really a test for me... I've done about 330 mile. My gearbox was orange every 20-25 laps so i was always full of fuel Those who finished the race will be awarded by a "MSM 4hr Club 2012" badge... Hope you like it and show respect to the guys who wear it, they really deserve it!

Re: 4 Hours of Nurburgring Grand Prix
Thanks to those who participated. Killingspree had a pretty nasty collision about 2 1/2 hours in and left. Bobbo left to go eat dinner. The rest of us soldiered on. I finished with 379 miles, which is about 117 laps. I counted that I was shifting up and down 20 times total per lap, which means I had approximately 2,340 shifts during the 4 hours. My left hand was pretty cramped by the end, and since I was only operating on 2 hours of sleep and hadn't had a bite to eat all day my eyes were starting to see patterns in the pavement that weren't really there. I think the best choices I made was picking a car that wasn't the fastest by rather the most reliably predictable and exercising extra caution around any other cars to avoid accident. I believe I had 350 cr worth of damage from one misshift during the race. It will probably be a long time before I do that again, so thanks again for those who rode along with me.

Do you think I can get that logo as well? I mean I WOULD have finished that race if it wasn't for dinner.

I thought we went over this already: it's killastyle (with x's and such) NOT killingspree.
I had a lot of fun, and although Dom and BLM kicked my ass, I was happy with my Devon which I had purchased from the auction house and it still has the tune I bought it with. Had a little understeer and needed a tad more grip, but it was easy to manage those problems.
And I like that badge

I missed teh start be about an hour. real mad at myself for it. I spectated for about an hour.
the biggest thing that i took from this race: Dom's F40 sipped gas.
Everyone else was talking about how they were in the yellow and red while Dom was half full.

What cars was everyone in, because the F40 is a V8 and a 2.9 liter, others might have more.

Re: 4 Hours of Nurburgring Grand Prix
I suspect it had to do with the damage, actually. At that point I was one of the only cars with zero damage, and we were driving with sim. Technically, an engine would be working harder against increased drag of damaged aero, so it would use more fuel. If your car has 50% damage, maybe FM4 requires 25% more fuel to overcome that? I don't know, but I honestly think it has nothing to do with car choice. FM3 only monitored fuel based on distance traveled, regardless of the machine, and I'm guessing FM4 is the same.

Re: 4 Hours of Nurburgring Grand Prix
^^ Yeah, I had 100% Front Aero damage, 100% Sides and 23% Back so that might be the reason why I had to pit twice in 4 hours while Dom only had to pit once

Re: 4 Hours of Nurburgring Grand Prix
I pitted 3 times. I was in the Devon and I didn't take each tank to the breaking point. If I wasn't careful I could have avoided it I think.
