Two Hours of Daytona

still dont know what im running!

Still debating what I'll be driving... I want to get something original but the Diablo GTR drive so well!

Indeed it does, i've also gone for this car. If you are looking for alternatives the 08" dodge viper SRT10 ACR is another fast car at this track, i've had a 1.30.880 with it

Indeed, that viper was on my "to try" list. I also want to tryout the Zonda only 626PI and already a 6.4 handling.

So far I've tried (in order of driving preference)
- Diablo GTR
- Aston One-77
- McLaren F1
- McLaren MP4-12C
- GT-R (tried both RWD and AWD)

I want to choose a car that I like.. but for a 2hr race, I want to take one that fits my driving style so I don't get frustrated.

Sunday morning i went on a downloading spree.

AART seems to have a nissan 370Z that they released which looks interesting and fast. I plan on trying that out tonight.

Ran a 1.32.xxx with Aware's Ford GT tune. Still love that car.

Well i decided (finally) what car(s) i would most likely run! And the choices are:

Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG

Ferrari 599 GTO

Lexus LFA

so i have a German Saloon

a Super Coupe

and Asian Supercar

Choices choices choices............

Seems the diablo is a popular choice. Ima run some laps in it but im pretty set on using the miura

Be interesting to see what laptimes people can achieve in the race. Last one we had 7 people set personal bests

im leaning towards the LF-A but will want to run competetive as possiblee so will have to see

How many of you guys are using a Ferrari? (any of them )

Diablo GTR for me cos its now my go-to enduro car

Choices are hard but you have to make one eventually! *crowd starts to laugh and chuckle* So the Manufacturer I will be representing in this Sunday's " 2 Hours of Daytona" is....*drumroll* THE FERRARI 599 GTO!!!!!

Nice paint on that Evora Blaring I will post pics Saturday *if anyone has a 48 hr trial i can use* But im runing a 599 GTO with a Dealership paint.

Are any cars frowned upon if used ? dont worry im not looking to run the Ferrari F40 or anything but was just wondering.

interesting how no one complains bout sim damage for an enduro race does anyone think it changes how people race racing with the knowledge a crash or bad tangle will completely kill your race?

In enduro i race against myself not again others so i stay away from others as much as possible to avoid contact...

I don't think it does make people drive any different tbh Ret, in the last 1 at camino i completely forgot about sim damage and just drove like i normally do.

It does for me.



I would rather start mid pack and then coast to the back, wait for the field to spread.then move forward.

Or, start at the front: let the fast drivers by and settle into racing where my skill dictates.

I suggest everyone racing take the first lap, first turn ( ON THE BANKING ) very gingerly. The speeds we will be hitting just on turn 1 can ruin many a racers 2 hours.

2 hours is a long run, there is plenty of time to race for position. let everyone fall into place for the first laps, then try for the win.

agreed , Camino was wrecked for me on the first lap by someone being too impatient at the start
