Re: Classic Muscle Car Series
Very decent of you to post that build up, Snip. Thanks. I'm still sort of new to it, so any help like this is always appreciated. I'm still not sure what car I will use yet.

Re: Classic Muscle Car Series
Ok my real car is done, paint is a version of the Lee Battery 1973 Dart Mopar Missle, tweaked it for my Cuda. I'm not very good at retro unless it's skulls and flames, hard for me to keep it simple. Hope you all dig it.[Only admins are allowed to see this image]

Re: Classic Muscle Car Series
I've tried a couple of cars out and even with race suspension and full weight reduction they still feel like heavy sluggish rocking boats. I haven't found a way to tune out that feeling like the body is rolling around every corner and with the C Class limitation I can't upgrade the tyre compound. This series isn't going to be easy...I love these old muscle cars but they're a real handful to drive.

Re: Classic Muscle Car Series
While i agree, I also think thats the best way to have them, would be the most authentic feel. I think Dom has made a wise choice by limiting upgrades to C class with no rear aero, (also makes you pick your upgrades carefully) once you go up into B class you can turn these into real monsters, which is not how they would have drove back in the day.

Re: Classic Muscle Car Series
if your struggling with upgrades go for the king cobra lol u cant fit alot in there otherwise just learn to cope with the body roll and max your acceleration.

Re: Classic Muscle Car Series
Calling the Mustang II a muscle car is an insult to muscle cars everywhere! Anyway, maybe he meant the Mach I?

Re: Classic Muscle Car Series
Going to decide on a car on Friday when I'm not working (hopefully). Not to sure what to run with yet.
Re: Classic Muscle Car Series
I shall be partaking in this series once I return from my divorce court with my xbox, it is starting to get very nasty and once my new xbox and I consummate the marriage I shall be back.

Re: Classic Muscle Car Series
So.. How do we sign up for this series? Do we just join the lobby on race day? I am still trying to figure everything out on MSM. Just joined the group yesterday...

Re: Classic Muscle Car Series
Lobbies are usually organised by Dominic Mako, RetPetty, Minim61 or SnippetyOggy86. Having them on your friends list is recommended for getting lobby invites, being in the ingame club will also get you an invite for the races. It is indeed as you say, just show up at the correct time. Times posted are when qualifying is planned to start, lobbies open a bit before that. Other than that, the only thing required is a car built according to the rules (see in the OP). There's also a lot of activity around race hour in the shoutbox, so if you're having trouble that might be a good resort.
Feel free to show off your paint when it's finished, there's already a few posted in the photo thread

Re: Classic Muscle Car Series
There are many ways to sign up for a series but the easiest is just posting in here saying "hey this sounds like Fun IM IN!" Then just follow all the guidlines ie car choices and upgrade options and restrictions and you should be good to go for the race

Re: Classic Muscle Car Series
Since i did a few laps with NJP, and it wasn't too bad, i might do this, if i can decide on a car.

Re: Classic Muscle Car Series
Well. The race this weekend was fun while it lasted. My apologies on my internet connection. I will try to get it fixed for next weekends race.
The first race I started last and had 5th place sealed up, and was kicked with 4 laps to go. Then on the second race I had a huge lead and was kicked. I guess sometimes, things just happen at the wrong time. Hope you guys had a great race. The Camaro and I will see you at the track next weekend.
