Re: BTCC Taster Series
I'd just bump the HP restrictions to 400, that seems to be the average power rating in A class, or lower the HP restrictions and bring it down to B class.

Re: BTCC Taster Series
I'm going to use the Insignia VX-R.
EDIT: Cannot get up to A 600 with the restrictions. A 588 is the highest it will go before I have to add more power.

Cheers I'll edit, sorry (again) : /
Re: BTCC Taster Series
Okay the Golf is gone, I'm going to post session dates and tracks later as well as release the entry application and entry list.
Cheers for you patience gents, Uni is consuming a lot of my time currently.
I've also updated the rules with paint rules but for those who are unsure.....what FlysoGood has done is a good diagram. Another acceptable number board is similar but with a dunlop header and EVO sponsor. I have a version of this if people need.

Re: BTCC Taster Series
Changes have been made to the Car list and Car usage rules so please read them gents.
Tracks and dates are up as well as lobby times.

Re: BTCC Taster Series
Quick point as well, I appreciate everyone being a patient at they are with us about the car list, you've got to understand that it's difficult to implement the rules when there are so many variables in terms of what is and isn't eligible.
I'm certain it will be worth the hassle in the end and the racing will speak for itself.

Re: BTCC Taster Series
If the Insignia gets disqualified, that's 6 cars I'll have tested that won't be eligible.

Re: BTCC Taster Series
So how are these races ran? I am in the EST time zone. Does that mean the first session will be the Catalunya race starting at 8:30est and the second session will be the Infineon race afterwards?
Sorry for all the questions. I am new to this club racing thing.

Don't see why not toaster, I just can't be arsed changing it back from italics.
Single turbo charger is allowed yes, and the races start at 8:30 est for you gmt for UK and EU drivers. Although people are more than welcome to race in either if they can.
Here's the schedule for a race evening in this championship:
8:30pm - Lobby opens, qualifying starts when all racers are present or the time reaches 8:50pm whichever arrives first.
8:50pm - Qualifying starts unless all members have arrived and are ready beforehand. Qualifying is 3 laps and the fastest clean lap will take pole.
Race 1- Takes place after qualifying, with start positions based on qualifying
10 minute break - To allow for the second race settings to be sorted and to give people time to get drinks and have a break.
Race 2 - Starts once racers have finished their break and are happy to continue. Start positions are the reverse of the results of the first race.
Hope that helps, running to shorter races allows there to be more chances to score points and keeps to MSMs long race length policy.
Don't worry about asking questions, It's my job to make sure new members fit into the team as smoothly as possible and I was aware this championship would probably attract our newer members anyway.

Re: BTCC Taster Series
Right with UNi going tits up at the moment I may not be updating this as often as I should nor doing as much testing as I'd like to. But it's still going to go ahead rest assured.
Could I have a volunteer to host the US lobby at all, if I can't find one there'll be no US lobby I'm afraid.

Re: BTCC Taster Series
Would someone be able to confirm the day this is happening on? Interested if it's on a Thursday.
I'll be in a 2006 Golf GTi or Scirocco R.

Re: BTCC Taster Series
Any word on the balance tests between FWD and RWD? Could we also get a view on who's driving what in something a bit more structural than the little chaos these posts are, maybe add the drivers who confirmed their car behind the car in the list or so.
Also, I'll be driving a Seat Leon 2007, and I don't care it's FWD and as such the slower of the two. It's a fun car and I'll enjoy doing the races in that. Is anyone interested in teaming up? Let me know in time so we can agree on the paint.
Really looking forward to this series, seems very fun. Won't be able to join every race but will do the ones where I'm not working for sure.

Re: BTCC Taster Series
Really busy at the moment to be honest, got to prioritize things and at the moment Uni work comes first. I'm much busier than I first thought so as a result I'm going to be delaying the series for a week, all my assignments are due in on the 30th which leaves me only a few days to get everything sorted that I wanted to so delaying it means I can sort things out better.
Re: BTCC Taster Series
Uni comes first, pssh! get a life.
No but seriously, thats fair enough. it gives you longer to iron out all the details
